USF: University of South Florida Football Strength and Conditioning is currently seeking volunteers for an UNPAID internship for the Summer of 2024. Qualified individuals who are chosen will have the opportunity to assist, and learn from a Division 1 Football Strength and Conditioning Staff. All that apply must possess great work ethic, energy and character. As well as exceptional communication and organizational skills. Potential candidates must have a strong desire to progress in the field, as well as the desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Previous experience as an intern in the collegiate strength and conditioning setting, or coaching experience in athletics is preferred, but not required. Duties include, but are not limited to: set up and break down of all football training sessions, consistent facility maintenance, data entry, assist the full-time staff in all football training sessions in compliance with NCAA rules, and other duties as assigned by the full-time strength and conditioning staff. The Summer Volunteer Program is set to start on May 16 th , 2024 and will conclude on July 26 th , 2024. South Alabama: The football strength and conditioning staff at The University of South Alabama is currently accepting applications for UNPAID summer internships. This position will begin Sunday June 2nd, 2024 and go through Friday, July 25th, 2024, with the potential to carry on into the fall semester. Applicants should have, or be working towards, a BA/BS in Exercise Science or a related field. Completion of this internship can fulfill credit hours towards a program degree and offer increased opportunities for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. Preferred qualifications include certification(s) from one or more of the following organizations: The CSCCa (SCCC), NSCA (CSCS), or USAW. Preferred qualifications also include previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching basic weight room exercises. This position is responsible for assisting the football strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of the off-season program, set up and break down of all training sessions, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room/facility, and hands-on experience training division-I collegiate athletes. Hardin Simmons (D-III - TX): Hardin Simmons University is looking for Summer Volunteer Interns. We are a Division III program located in Abilene, Texas. Primary responsibilities will be with the football team. This is a great opportunity to get experience and work with great coaches and players.
