Kenechi Udeze spent last season as a pass rush specialist at Houston under Dana Holgorsen.
Sources tell FootballScoop Udeze is set to land at FIU as their new defensive ends and outside linebackers coach.
Before joining the Houston staff, Udeze spent two seasons on the Titans staff as an assistant defensive line coach.
He also has previous experience in the SEC with one-year stops at LSU (defensive analyst) and Vanderbilt (linebackers).
Udeze had a unique start in the coaching profession, working for strength programs at Washington, Pitt, and USC before moving to defensive line coach for the Trojans prior to the 2016 season.
The former Consensus All American and first-round pick in 2004 out of USC spent a few seasons in the NFL with the Vikings before being diagnosed with a form of leukemia, which eventually led to issues that caused him to retire in 2009.
