Kliff Kingsbury reportedly landing back in college football (Kliff Kingsbury)

Kliff Kingsbury will reportedly be coming back to college football.

Tom Pelissero tweets tonight that Kingsbury is expected to join Lincoln Riley's staff at USC, where he will work with the team's quarterbacks.

Multiple reports share that Kingsbury will have a senior offensive analyst type role. The Trojans staff doesn't list a quarterbacks coach in title, as Lincoln Riley has mentored the team's signal callers.

Kingsbury was back on the market following his dismissal with the Arizona Cardinals after four seasons. He went 5-10 his first season, 8-8 in year two, and made the jump to 11-6 in year three.

However, year four was filled with challenges, and the team slid to a 4-13 finish.

Landing at USC marks an interesting full circle moment for Riley, who had briefly joined the USC staff as offensive coordinator after being fired at Texas Tech in 2018. He put together a 35-40 record leading his alma mater, with a 7-6 finish in 2015 marking his best season, and was at USC for just a few weeks before the Cardinals made a splash hiring the innovative offensive mind as their new head coach.

As an offensive play caller at the college level, Kingsbury was a two-time selection for the FootballScoop Offensive Coordinator of the Year Award with Houston and at Texas A&M.

Kingsbury has worked with some of the most prolific quarterbacks in recent college football, tutoring Case Keenum and Johnny Manziel, as well as Patrick Mahomes.

Now at USC, he will get an opportunity to work with reigning Heisman winner Caleb Williams, which will be a ton of fun to watch this fall.
