Once again, Deion Sanders is peeling back the curtain into University of Colorado – and in the process, Coach Prime is showcasing his totally redesigned office that overlooks the Buffaloes’ iconic Folsom Field.
Naturally, Coach Prime’s office features plenty of “Prime” branding – including framed prints and an all-new, custom-designed “Coach Prime” desk that lights up like a discotheque.
“You cannot go wrong with that black and gold,” Sanders says as he tours his new space, which features an electric fireplace among other amenities.
The entire wall behind Sanders’s desk is emblazoned with his myriad slogans, including “I don’t use cologne, confidence is my natural odor” and “A fan only blows when you’re hot” among at least a dozen Coach Prime phrases.
Given new exercise equipment that directly overlooks the football field from within his office, Sanders gushes on video that “I might not coach with a shirt on.”
Sanders also provides insight into the Colorado program’s future branding, which is going to feature significant signage touting the area’s 303 area code.
In the opening moments of the tour, Sanders also pleads for help for the Buffaloes’ equipment staff – encouraging full-time CU students to apply.
“You gotta want this; you’ve got to want this,” Sanders said. “What we’re about to do is going to be epic. …
“It can be females, too.”
With his son, Deion Sanders Jr., controlling the behind-the-scenes documentary, the younger Sanders stops to check in on new offensive coordinator Sean Lewis – whom he finds bumping rap music – as well as a brief sit-down with assistant coach Andre Hart, where the two briefly commiserate over finding somewhere to live.
“Lemme tell you what, they like their places out here,” Hart says.
“I found me one about five minutes away,” Sanders Jr. reveals. “You don’t even wanna know the price.”
Former five-star signee Travis Hunter, part of the influx of high-profile transfer-signees to join Sanders at Colorado – from Jackson State, such as Hunter, as well as other programs – also makes a cameo in the video, when he visits in the staff offices and reveals he’s preparing to go play basketball.
Coach Prime, who also meets the handler of famed Colorado mascot “Ralphie” the bison, continues to tour the football facility and outline his plans for changes to the walls and passageways that greet the players.
He requests one hallway prominently feature the phrasing, “C.U. Gotta Believe,” and he wants the following phrasing to greet the players as they’re training:
“We win the quarter”
“We win the half”
“Then we do it again.”
