For good reason: a physical Nose can be a continual nuisance in attaining the A gap entry points needed to efficiently run gap schemes. This is why at Rowan University (NJ) offensive line coach/run game coordinator Tom Doddy segments his Center/Guard gap double teaching to handle all possible stagnant and movement scenarios associated with Odd defense.
