RSOs and PSOs From 10/11 Personnel: At Ventura College, the offensive staff want to stretch the defense both vertically and horizontally on any given play. One of the concepts they use are “Candy” screens that widen the field and use all 53 and 1/3rd. These quick screens are part of their run game, giving their athletes the most space possible with the ball. The great thing is this is an easy concept for players to understand and it forces the back end of defenses to either play tighter in coverage or to make a lot of tackles in space. In an exclusive X&O Labs report, Ventura College’s offensive coordinator Jeff Fischer details their “Candy” screens from 10/11 personnel. This report includes 6 minutes of game film with narration from Coach Fischer. Go here to read this report now.
