Best Practices: Gallop vs. Tight Drive Footwork in Duo Runs: The distinction between Duo and other gap scheme runs is that the point linebacker is typically play side- and not the backside of the run action. So, linemen don’t necessarily have time to get to the point. This is why Bryant University (RI) run game coordinator Steven Ciocci teaches more vertical combinations when installing the concept and will differentiate between gallop and tight drive footwork. The technique depends completely on whether his down lineman is on or off his body. Nashville (AR): Nashville HS is looking to hire the 2 best high school football coaches available. We will adjust our current coaching staff based on the candidates. The positions come with 25 extra contracted days, and a $3500 coaching stipend. A second sport will also be attached to the openings. (State base salary for a bachelors is $50,500.) Nashville High School is a tradition rich football program with great administrative and community support. Our facilities and teaching schedule for assistants is the best I've been a part of in 23 years of coaching. We currently have Physical Education and History teaching positions available. Lubbock Coronado (TX): Defensive coordinator Andrew Roy has been promoted to head coach. He replaces DJ Mann who resigned after three seasons.
East Lyme (CT): Tom Kleine has been named head coach.
Chattanooga Notre Dame (TN): North Florida Christian (FL) head coach Brent Hill has resigned to take the head coaching job.

North Florida Christian (TN): North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee is currently taking resumes for the position of Head Football Coach. North Florida Christian is located on a 55- acre campus in Tallahassee, Florida and is a 1A member of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). The school currently has a population of 650 students in preschool thru the 12 grade. NFC is a part of North Florida Baptist Church and has been a member of the Big Bend community for more than 50 years. NFC will be searching for experienced candidates that are strong in their faith and an active member of their local church. The Eagles have won eight (8) FHSAA championships with the most recent being in 2018. During the 2022 season the Eagles finished 11-1 falling in the regional final game. The Eagles finished the 2023 season at 9-4 losing in the FHSAA State Semi Final game. The Eagle head coach will be a part of the high school faculty and should have teaching credentials. The head coach will oversee all aspects of the football program from 6-12 grade. Pay will be according to experience.
