Florida A&M head coach Willie Simmons suspends all football activity after music video shot in locker room (Florida A&M Football)

After a "prominent rapper" shot a music video inside Florida A&M's football locker room, head coach Willie Simmons released a statement suspending all football activities.

Simmons said the video's content contains graphic language "that is not consistent with Florida A&M's core values," and also included licensed FAMU apparel, potentially in violation of the school's branding and licensing agreements.

In the video, published to YouTube on Friday, rapper Real Boston Richey dons an FAMU polo, an FAMU dri-fit shirt and an FAMU helmet while standing inside the Rattlers' locker room.

Florida A&M is conducting an internal investigation to see who arranged for the video to be shot within the Galimore-Powell Filedhouse, and in the meantime all football-related activities are suspended until further notice.

"It is a privilege to wear the Orange and Green and as a football program our young men have failed to live up to this standard set before us," Simmons said. "They will all learn from this mishap and we will continue to work hard every day to become the best version of ourselves and continue to make Rattler Nation proud."

Florida A&M is set to open its season Sunday, Sept. 3 against Jackson State at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
