Prior to USC coming to Boulder, Colorado AD warns fans to not storm the field (Colorado)

Coach Prime and Colorado suffered their first loss of the season last Saturday, losing Dan Lanning and Oregon 42-7 in a game that was never close.

This week, Colorado welcomes reigning Heisman winner, and likely top overall NFL Draft pick, Caleb Williams and USC to Boulder in a game where Deion and his Buffs are 21.5 point underdogs.

While that type of spread certainly didn't phase them in their season opener against TCU, and Colorado will still be without two-way star Travis Hunter, the talent USC is bringing to town is on a different level.

Still, Coach Prime's unwavering confidence seems to be contagious, and athletic director Rick George isn't immune to its effects.

In an email sent to the student body, George reminds fans of expectations of fan conduct (of which refraining from "underage drinking and overall intoxication" is mentioned), and also asks fans to not storm the field.

"I ask you to refrain from entering the field after games. Although 'rushing the field' has long been a college football tradition, in recent years many schools nad conferences are cracking down on the practice, as it greatly jeopardizes the safety of players, coaches, staff and other fans. Rushing the field is in violation of University and Pac-12 regulations."

"Unfortunately, after both of our first tow home games, we received an inordinate number of complaints regarding fan conduct (especially student conduct), and after both of our home game victories,  students and fans 'rushed the field.' Such conduct is unacceptable, and I ask you to please refrain from such behavior for any future events."

Sure, this could simply be a blanket reminder for the rest of the season, but doing it at 3-1, as a major underdog while coming off a blowout loss to Oregon certainly feels like Coach Prime's confidence in Boulder is rubbing off on his boss - at least a bit.
