The 2024 NFL league meetings are underway in Orlando, which means we get the 2024 NFL head coaches class photo.
This is a silly but also momentous hallmark in the NFL calendar. The head coaching roster is never the same from year to year, so it's important to get as many of them as possible together for posterity's sake. And it's also worthwhile because these 32 men in the top jobs of football pull this off with equal dignity and execution as Mrs. Whitworth's 2nd grade class at Hidden Forest Elementary School.
-- Eight NFL of the 32 NFL head coaches are bald. I have no absolutely data to support this, but that feels like an all-time high.
-- Fourteen of the coaches have facial hair. Again, zero data to support this, but that also feels like a league record.
-- Front low, far left: Mike McDaniel seated next to Mike Macdonald. Knowing McDaniel, there's no way that's a coincidence.
-- Do you think Kyle Shanahan, Matt LaFleur, Sean McVay, Kevin Stefanski, Robert Saleh, DeMeco Ryans and Andy Reid are threatened by Dave Canales clearly taking the title of Most Handsome NFL Head Coach?
-- Reid once again flexed on his peers by dressing in shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, which is the type of thing the first head coach in 20 years to win repeat Super Bowls should do.
-- Missing: Matt Eberflus, Mike McCarthy, Sean Payton, Nick Sirianni, Mike Tomlin. Obviously, this means a massive 5-team trade involving the No. 1 pick, Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts, Russell Wilson, Justin Fields and Denver's No. 12 picks is in the works.
