Oregon State defensive coordinator Keith Heyward has stepped down, sources told FootballScoop on Monday.
The 2024 season was Heyward's first, and only, season running the defense in Corvallis.
Heyward came to Oregon State from the Las Vegas Raiders, where he was a defensive quality control coach. He spent 2022 as the defensive coordinator at UNLV, and coached previously at Washington, USC, Oregon and Cal, among other stops, after starting his career as an Oregon State GA in 2005.
Heyward played for the Beavers from 1997-00. He played professionally in Europe, Canada and the Arena League before entering the coaching profession.
