Stop me if you've heard this headline before, but a Rush Propst program has again found themselves the target of disciplinary action.
Pell City HS (AL), who is in their first season under the leadership of the controversial Propst, has been fined, and will have to forfeit one win for violation of the Alabama High School Athletic Association transfer rule.
The disciplinary action comes after Propst and Pell City chose to play a student-athlete who was ineligible for varsity contests.
AHSAA rules state that Pell City must forfeit all games that the student-athlete in question participated in, and that will drop their record to 0-5 and 0-2 in region play.
Prior to the rule violation, Pell City had 1-win on the year, over Center Point HS (AL).
This isn't the first time Propst has been accused of bending the rules in regards to ineligbile players.
He spent the 202 season at Valdosta HS (GA), but the school was later sanctioned for the use of ineligible players.
Propst rose to national prominence for his run of four consecutive Class 6A titles at Hoover from 2002-05, which got the program featured on the MTV show Two-A-Days.
Propst crossed state lines to Georgia's Colquitt County in 2008, where he won two state championships and 119 games in 11 seasons before he was fired for off-field impropriety.
After Valdosta, he would spent two years away from the sidelines before joining Coosa Christian HS (AL) as athletic director and associate head coach briefly.
