Approaching his tenth season leading the Grambling State (FCS - LA) program, Broderick Fobbs is filling his open offensive line job with a hire from the Group of Five level.
According to a tweet from Bruce Feldman this morning, Louisiana-Lafayette assistant offensive line coach Bryant Ross is expected to be the new offensive line coach on Fobbs' staff.
The Ragin Cajuns have established their dominance on the ground under Billy Napier the last several years. They've ranked among the top 25 teams in rushing offense for three straight seasons now, including a special 2019 campaign where they finished 6th nationally.
Before joining the ULL staff, Ross served as the offensive line coach at Central State (D-II - OH) for a few seasons.
Ross played his college ball at the HBCU level, as an offensive lineman for Alabama A&M.
He replaces Reggie Nelson, who was let go following Grambling's loss in the Bayou Classic.
Head coach Broderick Fobbs was given a public vote of confidence by school president Rick Gallot (as the school continues to search to fill their athletic director spot) back in late April. Grambling finished their spring season winless and made a number of changes on the offensive side of the ball, including at the offensive coordinator spot.
