Pat Narduzzi makes postgame comments taking aim at Pitt roster makeup (roster)

Pat Narduzzi has won 20 games over his last two seasons leading the program at Pitt, winning the ACC title after an 11-3 season in 2021.

Today though, Narduzzi and the Panthers were blown out on the road by Notre Dame, dropping a 58-7 decision to the Irish.

It was the latest loss in the midst of a 2-6 season as Pitt gets ready to take on Florida State this weekend.

Needing to band together for their final four games of the season, Narduzzi made some rather controversial postgame comments following the lopsided loss to the Irish that surely won't sit well within the locker room.

"We lost a lot of good players last year. We thought we'd replace them and we obviously didn't do a good job with that," Narduzzi said.

Once that comment hit X (or the platform formerly known as Twitter), a handful of current players started to quote tweet it with their reaction to the comments, and that's never a good sign.

I would fully expect Narduzzi to have a statement to clear the air on this one sooner, rather than later.

In all fairness, Narduzzi mentions the love he has for the players in the locker room and how they've had to to play a lot of young players, and that he loves the makeup of their locker room and how they battle as one in the post game presser, but those comments won't make headlines over that comment.

Stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.

Update >> Narduzzi opened his Monday presser by sharing he apologized for these comments during their team meeting Sunday evening.
