Pat McAfee tries to goad Dan Orlovsky into reporting Mike Vrabel as next Ohio State head coach (Dan Orlovsky Ohio State)

Daytime television is like cotton candy. It's made to be flushed almost as fast as it's consumed, and the consumer's best case scenario is that it doesn't leave you feeling groggy for the next four hours.

That said, that doesn't mean it can't be tasty from time to time.

Pat McAfee had ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky on, and the conversation turned to former Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, currently idling as a Cleveland Browns coaching and personnel consultant in between his 6-year run in Nashville and whatever comes next.

Orlovsky confidently said he knew where Vrabel will coach next season. "I think Vrabel's spoken for," he said.

McAfee then asked if Vrabel will coach next season in the NFL or in college football -- or at his alma mater specifically -- and Orlovsky didn't say much after that. One of the words he didn't say was, "No."

Again, it's daytime television. Orlovsky did not report Vrabel will be Ohio State's next head coach, and we're certainly not either.

While we're here, let's remember the time Vrabel claimed Urban Meyer did not recognize him, despite the fact that the two were both AFC South head coaches at the time and Vrabel was Meyer's defensive line coach at Ohio State for two years

Anyway, No. 8 seed Ohio State hosts No. 9 Tennessee in a College Football Playoff first round game on Saturday (8 p.m. ET, ABC).

As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
