Johnny Manziel tweets advice to President Trump, then deletes his account (twitter)

In a story born straight out of search engine heaven, Johnny Manziel tweeted a piece of advice to President Trump on Monday then, apparently, broke his own advice.

The former Heisman Trophy winner culminated his crash-and-burn in 2016 -- he spent the year out of football, dodged dodged a domestic violence charge from his ex-girlfriend, was slapped with a 4-game NFL suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy, and became the first player ever fired as a client by super-agent Drew Rosenhaus.

At one point last summer, Manziel's father even gave a quote to ESPN openly speculating his son could die soon.

Manziel, thankfully, did not die. He kept a low-profile last fall, reportedly taking classes at Texas A&M and staying out of the public eye.

The former Heisman winner returned to social media last week to refute a claim he would charge $50 for selfies at the Super Bowl -- he'll give that privilege away for free, he says -- and stuck around as a mea culpa for past mistakes. "No lie... I was a douche in 2016," he tweeted at one point.

With his sea legs back under him, Manziel on Monday tweeted advice to Trump to stay out of his mentions and ignore his haters.

A few hours later the tweet was gone... along with his entire account. It appears Manziel ignored his own advice.

The man they once called Johnny Football will probably be back at some point, perhaps with some pointers for @Pontifex.
