FootballScoop Weekend Primer: Notre Dame blew it against Northern Illinois. Now what? (College Football Week 3 Schedule)

At long last, the FootballScoop staff is happy to provide listeners the show they've craved for all these years.

Scott is away dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl -- the Roussel family and residence are unscathed, thankfully -- so Zach, Doug and John pressed on to provide the Week 3 preview that our listeners deserve.

We start with the news of the day: the Pac-2's growth to the Pac-6. The Pac-12 is a century-old brand that means... what, now, exactly? We dive into whether Oregon State and Washington State bringing Boise, Colorado, Fresno and San Diego states into the fold revives the Pac-12's status as a "power" conference.

Moving on, we dove into an admittedly light weekend slate with three intriguing weeknight games: Arizona State at Texas State, UNLV at Kansas, and No. 20 Arizona at No. 14 K-State.

Moving on, we discussed the big and not-so-big games on Saturday. I think the highlight was when Doug detailed how Marcus Freeman should handle Notre Dame's psyche following the Irish's bellyflop against Northern Illinois heading into a difficult trip to Purdue.

As a reminder, the FootballScoop podcast is available on Apple, Spotify, Amazon, iHeart and....well you'll find it.
