It's never too early ... or too late to talk college football.
Especially as the sport continues a decade of change that's been more revolutionary than the previous four decades.
And speaking of decades, Bill Belichick is a college coach for the first time after ... FIVE DECADES of coaching.
FootballScoop national columnist Zach Barnett is setting on the odds for the Belichick-Tar Heels union as being one of abject disaster at the following:
"I think there's a 20% chance" that Belichick's UNC tenure is an utter failure.
There's an easy argument to suggest there's an even greater likelihood.
Is Tom Brady going to recruit a prized quarterback for Belichick to UNC if his former head coach asks a favor? OR, is Brady going to point to the lucrative NIL deals his actual alma mater, Michigan, already is doling out for recruits.
And what of the move of Jim Knowles to Penn State, fresh off of leading Ohio State to the College Football Playoff Championship?
We'd said in the days leading into last month's Notre Dame-Ohio State CFP title bout that there was a very real possibility that three of the four offensive/defensive coordinators in that game would depart.
It's happened. Al Golden has returned to the NFL, Knowles is in Happy Valley as the sport's highest-paid defensive coordinator and Chip Kelly is back in the NFL, off to Vegas to call plays for the Raiders.
Plus, Super Bowl LIX predictions as the Kansas City Chiefs seek an unprecedented three-peat against the Philadelphia Eagles.
