Auburn set to make move to Nike (Under Armour)

Back in 2015, Auburn signed a 9-year extension to remain an Under Armour school worth over $78 million.

A lot has happened for the Under Armour brand since then.

Over the past few seasons Under Armour has backed out and broken contracts of high profile deals with UCLA and Cincinnati, even as the Bearcats were set to make a groundbreaking appearance with the signature UA logo in the College Football Playoff.

At the time they inked the deal with the Bruins back in 2016, it was the richest apparel deal in all of college athletics worth about $280 million.

Hawaii, Boston College and Cal have also moved away from the signature brand.

Now, one of the flagship programs wearing the brand has decided to take their business elsewhere as their contract with UA approaches the end of its life.

Auburn is set to make the move away from Under Armour and take their business to Nike starting in July of 2025.

β€œWe are excited to enter this new partnership with Nike, a brand that consistently champions athletes and sport around the world," Auburn AD John Cohen shared in a release

"We are appreciative of their strong support throughout this process. We believe that our 10-year agreement, beginning in July 2025, will continue to elevate Auburn and best serve our student-athletes and our university moving forward.”

The Tigers had previously been an Under Armour school for the past 18 seasons.

Notre Dame remains the biggest college athletics brand to wear Under Armour, with programs like Maryland, South Carolina and Wisconsin also currently with UA deals.
