At about the eight pick of the first round of the NFL draft last night, I thought out loud to myself, "There is a real possibility that Texas A&M has three guys drafted in the top ten". That was after tackle Jake Matthews went #6 overall to Atlanta, and Mike Evans flew off the board at #7 overall to Tampa Bay.
It would be nearly another hour and a half before Cleveland traded up to grab Johnny Manziel at #22.
But still, three first round drafts picks, all on the offensive side of the ball, in the 2014 is impressive for any program. Add that with the Aggie first rounders of the past few seasons in Von Miller, Ryan Tannehill, and Luke Joeckel and you've got yourself a nice little recruiting pitch for future recruits.
"Who's next?"
