What's your best bet of Week 3? The FootballScoop staff weighs in

It’s not often we look at the lines and nearly immediately say #EasyMoney, but this week Scott did just that. We typically only give our “Best Bet” of the week, but this week he's giving you his official best bet plus two more. Thank him later.

Scott: Boise State -16 at UConn

Boise State showed me that they have a whole lot of heart last week in dispatching a talented Colorado State team with relative ease (which surprised me). UConn needs to rebuild. This one could be a blowout.

Bonus picks: A&M over Rice giving 31.5. Both teams will have a good plan for the game; but the Aggies simply have better athletes (and the desire to score all the points). A&M hasn’t scored less than 50 and I don’t see that changing this weekend. Rice isn’t built to come from behind and their offense will struggle in College Station once the Aggies take a big lead.

Arizona State giving 15.5 at Colorado. Hard to imagine this one being close. Arizona State’s offense will score plenty of points and it’s hard to envision Colorado scoring more than 17.

Zach: Pittsburgh -25.5 at Florida International

Pittsburgh

Everything about the way these teams have played thus far tells me those first two numbers should be flipped. In fact, this one seems almost too obvious. Pitt ranks fifth nationally in yards per play allowed, while FIU is 118th in yards per play.

Doug: Duke -14 vs. Kansas

Duke may not have the same amount of firepower that they had on last year's 10 win team, but I don't see them having a problem making their game against the Jayhawks a blowout. They may have needed a comeback to beat a Troy team that got thumped by UAB, but I'm cutting them some slack in my mind because they're still getting their bearings after losing offensive coordinator Kurt Roper to Florida during the off season. David Cutcliffe has an excellent coaching staff and it's just a matter of time before they get things humming again.

This season: Scott (0-2), Doug (0-2), Zach (2-0)
