Elon: Elon University Strength and Conditioning is looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for the Winter/Spring 2016 semester. The internship will begin January 5th and run through May 12th. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Elon University’s 17 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties. This is an unpaid internship. However, candidates will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, college credit towards graduation if applicable and be involved in the CSCCa mentorship program necessary to achieve the SCCC certification. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. Experience in a Strength and Conditioning Program or have previous collegiate athletics experience is preferred. Having a background in performing and coaching Olympic lifts is preferred. Robert Morris: The Robert Morris University Strength and Conditioning Staff is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for a strength and conditioning internship for the Spring 2016 Semester. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program as well as daily maintenance of weight room and facilities. This is an unpaid position. If chosen for this internship opportunity, you will gain valuable experience, be educated on training philosophy, Olympic lifts, and how to structure and execute a successful strength and conditioning program. Qualifications include: strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should have, or be working towards attaining their bachelor’s degree in a related field.
