Lane College (D-II - TN): Lane College is looking to hire a new athletic director, and is now accepting applicants. The Director of Athletics is a twelve month position and responsible for successful execution in leading, planning, budgeting, developing, and directing all athletics programs and activities related to the college’s 12 intercollegiate sports: Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Men’s and Women’s Track and Field, Baseball, Softball, and Volleyball. In addition, the Director provides leadership for the Department of Athletics within established financial plans; directs fund-raising activities necessary to supplement available financial resources; and participates in as many public relations activities as is practical in order to promote the college and its athletics program. Requirements: Bachelors degree in business administration, sports administration, or related field. Prefer a Master's degree with previous athletic administration and supervisory experience. Boston College: In an interview with the Boston Times-Herald, Boston College athletics director said of his name being mentioned for the Michigan job, “It really doesn’t distract me at all. I love it here at Boston College, my values align with the institutional mission and we’ve really enjoyed living in New England, one of the greatest cities in the world. It hasn’t been a distraction at all.”
Loyola University (Chicago, IL): St. Bonaventure director of athletics Steve Watson has accepted the AD job at Loyola University in Chicago.
