Kennesaw State: The Kennesaw State University OLYMPIC Sport Performance is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Graduate Assistant Sport Performance Coach beginning Fall 2014 semester to begin on August 4, 2014. Qualifications: Individuals applying must have received their bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field, must apply and be accepted to the Applied Exercise and Health Science graduate program, possess one of the major certifications (USAW, CSCS, SCCC) at the time of employment, willingness to adhere to standards of the Kennesaw State University Sport Performance Department, Kennesaw State University Athletics Association, and Kennesaw State University. Females are strongly encouraged to apply. Compensation: $18,000/year scholarship to be awarded as $9,000/semester scholarship. Individuals will receive Division I Olympic Sports experience, further knowledge of the field, educational advancement, and the possibility for future references. North Carolina: The University of North Carolina Olympic Sports Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the Fall 2014 Athletic Performance Internship Program. This is an unpaid position. Start date: August 13th End Date December 3rd. Intern responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision of training programs; Assisting with daily operations and facility/equipment maintenance; Completion of various educational assignments during the internship. Intern qualifications include: Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Strong work ethic; Ability to volunteer a minimum of 40 hours per week. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field; SCCC, CSCS, or USAW certification; CPR certification and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach. Interns will receive experience working in a Division I environment, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable.
