Nevada unveiled its mini-documentary "A New Beginning" at its Signing Day celebration Wednesday, and released it to the public on Thursday. In nine minutes, the film tells everything a prospective recruit, student, fan, donor or sponsor would ever need to know about the Nevada football program - past, present and future.
Most of the video is devoted to head coach Brian Polian selling his Wolf Pack program and the University of Nevada as a whole. He's extremely well-spoken and great on camera. Here are my two favorite quotes:
"We're looking for people who love the process. Everybody loves game day. We're looking for the kind of guys that love practice, that love the weight room, that love to study film."
"When players leave this program, we want them to wear a championship ring on one hand and have a diploma in the other."
The video is beautifully shot and written in a way that the Wolf Pack will be able to use "A New Beginning" for the entire time Polian is the head coach.
