Louisiana Monroe: Millsaps AD Josh Brooks has accepted the position of special assistant to the president at ULM. Brooks served two years as AD at Millsaps College following seven years at Georgia where he rose from director of football operations to associate athletic director. Brooks also previously served as DFO at ULM and is from Louisiana.
LSU: Scott Rabalais who has covered LSU for the Advocate for 25 years writes that there are "strong indications" that Les Miles is coaching for his job these next two weeks. Rabalais adds that Les' buyout alone would be $15 million (paid over 8 years), quoting Rabalais, "a staggering sum; but apparently not a deal breaker". Sources have shared with FootballScoop over the years that the relationship between AD Joe Alleva and Miles has been challenged for quite some time. At 7-2, LSU is at Ole Miss this weekend and then hosts Texas A&M. Our update on the situation.
Dordt College (NAIA - IA): Head coach Greg Youngblood has resigned.
McDaneil College (D-III - MD): Head coach Mike Hoyt has stepped down.
UCF: Buffalo athletic director Danny White has agreed to become the new athletic director at UCF, per Dan Wolken of USA Today and Brandon Helwig who covers UCF. Helwig adds that White's introductory presser will be Thursday. You might recall that White went unconventional in his hiring of legendary D-III head coach Lance Leipold at Buffalo. Will be interesting to see who he plans to go with at UCF.
Hawaii: Hawaii has announced an eight-person advisory group to assist with the head coaching search.
Minot State (D-II - ND): Minot State is looking to hire a full-time offensive line coach. Previous collegiate experience coaching or playing is preferred. The job includes coaching the offensive line, recruiting, use of digital editing system, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach and/or coordinator. The position will begin immediately. Compensation includes salary and a full benefits package. Tusculum (D-II - TN): Per source, offensive coordinator / quarterbacks and receivers coach Marc Kolb, defensive coordinator / inside linebackers coach Mike Iezzi, and defensive line coach / strength coach Tim Tobin have all been let go.
Miami: Barry Jackson who writes for the Miami Herald just noted that per Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports, Charlie Strong is indeed interested in the Miami job.

The Ryan brothers: Rex said today he would "never say never" about adding twin brother Rob to his staff. "Not going to lie, it would be fun." - Hey, Rex, here's an idea. Pitch it to HBO. The rights fee they would pay you for 24/7 access to the coaches office alone would pay for the additional salary 10 times over. Make. It. Happen.
Tom Herman: While there has been no shortage of chatter regarding Tom Herman's future of late, sources continue to tell FootballScoop that Houston is working on a new package for him, hoping to take him off the market. Will keep you updated; but in the meantime, this is a good read regarding Herman.
Detroit Lions: Arizona State senior offensive analyst Ryan Silverfield is joining the Lions staff as assistant offensive line coach, according to Sports Illustrated. Silverfield fills in for Terry Heffernan, who was let go last month.

Northwood (D-II - MI): Leonard Haynes, who was appointed interim head coach in the summer after head coach Pat Riepma passed away, has had the interim tag lifted and been named head coach. Haynes lead the program to five wins this season and has coached at Northwood for 21 years.

Youngstown State: Bo Pelini has been reprimanded by the Missouri Valley Conference for his actions on the sidelines this past Saturday against North Dakota State. See video from the game and why action was taken here.
Coe (D-III - IA): Head coach Steve Stake is stepping down after eight seasons and a 55-29 record. Coe has named offensive coordinator Tyler Stake (Steve's son) as the next head coach for the Kohawks.
Southern Virginia (D-III): After a 1-19 record in two seasons, head coach Jason Walker has been let go and offensive line coach / recruiting coordinator Matthew Edwards has been named interim head coach, effective immediately.
West Virginia Wesleyan (D-II): After three years leading the program, head coach George Shehl has resigned with a 11-19 overall record. Sources tell FootballScoop that offensive coordinator / wide receivers coach Mike Chamoures and defensive line coach Russell Norton have also been let go.
Northern Michigan (D-II): Northern Michigan is looking to fill their 2016 schedule. The open date is Sept 10th. Looking for a D-II opponent, preferably a home game. Guarantee is possible. Please contact Rob Boss at rboss@nmu.edu if interested.
