Mercer (FCS - GA): Mercer University is currently accepting applications for the position of graduate assistant strength & conditioning coach. The position is responsible for Assisting the Director of Strength & Conditioning in all departmental functions. Duties include writing and implementing programs for 2-3 assigned teams as well as assisting with other teams as needed. Qualifications required are experience with teaching and demonstrating the Olympic lifts, Power lifts and other movements to collegiate teams; 12+ months experience in writing and implementing sports performance programs; an accredited certification (CSCS or SCCC); meeting Mercer University graduate school entrance requirements. Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science or related field of study. Personal qualities desired are: ability to follow directions well, strong work ethic, very professional, loyal, dependable, good people skills and judgment, with exceptional communication and organizational skills. Experience with Microsoft excel required. Applicants should have knowledge of NCAA rules and bylaws. This position requires a TWO YEAR program commitment. Compensation package includes room and board with a full tuition, books waiver and a monthly stipend. Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State University is currently seeking a highly motivated strength and conditioning coach to design and implement a football-specific workout program. Additional duties include, assist coaching running backs, assist with recruiting, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Qualifications: Bachelorβs degree from an accredited college or university is required as well as working toward or already obtained a certification from an accredited strength and conditioning organization (NSCA, USAW, CSCCa, etc.). Possess CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Candidate must also be accepted into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA), enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester, and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Compensation package includes $8,000 and Full-Tuition waiver. Review of candidates will begin immediately, with start date of August 5th. Brown: Brown University is now accepting applications for FALL 2015 volunteer interns. Applicants must possess a strong desire to become a collegiate strength & conditioning coach. Intern will have the opportunity to work with 38 Ivy League varsity sports and gain hands on experience. Duties will include but not limited to: assisting with the supervision of training programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of internship curriculum. This is a NON-PAID internship. Expected start and end date for the fall is September 7th through December 11th (minimum 300 total hours at 20 hours per week). There will be an opportunity to begin the internship sooner based on availability.
