NCAA: Stanford athletics director Bernard Muir and UNC-Asheville athletics director Janet Cone have been named to the Division I Men's Basketball Committee on Sept. 1. They will replace Wake Forest athletics director Ron Wellman and Big Sky commissioner Doug Fullerton.
Baylor: Athletic director Ian McCaw noted that Baylor will allow a limited number of on-the-water tailgating at the new McLane Stadium, with boat slips available for "sail-gating".
