We understand that former college coach Terry Lewis, a man beloved in the coaching profession, has passed away. Lewis coached the offensive line at Navy, Illinois, LSU, North Carolina, Colorado, and Mississippi State. Please join us in praying for his family.

Montana: Per source, defensive coordinator Ty Gregorak, defensive line coach Legi Suiaunoa and running backs coach Justin Green are being retained. The rest of the staff, including offensive coordinator Kefense Hynson, special teams coordinator Jake Cookus, offensive line coach Scott Gragg, receivers coach Torrey Myers and others have been released.

Nebraska: Mark Banker's salary is $550,000 per year (two year deal). Mike Cavanaugh's is $400,000 in year one, $450,000 in year two. Bruce Read will make $450,000 per year (two year deal) and Trent Bray will make $250,000 in a one year deal. All per Omaha.com.

Virginia: Tom O'Brien (tight ends) is headed to retirement in the Charleston, SC area per the Roanaoke Times.

Western Michigan: The school has announced a six-year extension for head coach P.J. Fleck worth $800,000 a year, making him easily the highest-paid coach in the MAC. 

Barry Odom: A number of reports began circulating this afternoon that Barry Odom had agreed to join the staff at Missouri. While the connection of obvious and the potential is real; sources tell us this is not a done deal at this time. Will update once more is clear.

Michigan: Bruce Feldman stated tonight that the reports of Michigan's $8 million / year offer to Jim Harbaugh "are not accurate".

Pitt: Multiple sources tell FootballScoop Pitt is "going big".

B.C. Lions (CFL): Jeff Tedford has now formally agreed to become the next head coach of the B.C. Lions according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports. Arash Madani first reported the possibility yesterday.

Texas A&M: The program has announced that offensive line coach B.J. Anderson will not return and will not coach the Aggies in the Liberty Bowl. Grad assistant Chris Smith will step in and coach the offensive line during the bowl game.

Missouri Valley (NAIA - MO): Missouri Valley College invites applications for Full-Time Assistant Football Coach and Instructor. The successful candidate must possess a Masterโ€™s Degree and have previous experience in coaching defensive backs. Experience with recruiting and strength program considered a plus. Boston College: Boston College has announced a contract extension for Steve Addazio keeping him at the school through 2020, as first reported by Pete Thamel of SI. Thamel writes that Michigan gauged Addazio's interest in their vacant job, and that Addazio "was considered one of the prime candidates after (Jim) Harbaugh." This confirms our report from Dec. 5.

Wisconsin: As we reported yesterday, Dave Aranda is planning to stay at Wisconsin as Paul Chryst's defensive coordinator. Andy Baggot of the Wisconsin State Journal is reporting the same.

Florida State: According to Warchant.com (the Seminoles' Rivals site), Florida State officials and Jimbo Fisher are expected to announce a new long-term agreement that will make him one of the highest paid coaches in the country. The announcement is reportedly going to be made before the Rose Bowl semifinal game against Oregon. Fisher made just shy of $3.6 million this past season.

Kentucky: Safeties and special teams coach Craig Naivar is leaving the staff. Multiple reports, including UK beat writer Jon Hale, state that he is joining the staff at Houston.

Carroll College (NAIA - MT): Carroll College has an open date for Aug. 29th 2015. We are looking for a home game in 2015 and can travel in 2016. Will play host to NAIA or NCAA Division II or III in 2015. Looking for Division I or II guarantee (away) game in 2017 or 2018. Memphis: The Commercial Appeal is reporting that Justin Fuente has agreed to a new agreement with Memphis.

West Florida (D-II): Earlier this month we reported that St. Joseph's (D-II - IN) head coach Cory Sanders was leaving for a position on staff at West Florida, and today the school formally announced him as the team's defensive coordinator.

South Florida: Former Purdue and EKU head coach Danny Hope is expected to be named offensive line coach at USF per Thayer Evans. Glad to see Danny getting back in. Good football coach.

Clarion (D-II - PA): Offensive coordinator, and Clarion alum, Chris Weibel has been named interim head coach.

Benedict (D-II - SC): TV station WALB 10 is reporting that Albany State (D-II - GA) head coach Mike White is expected to be named head coach at Benedict College later today. White recently announced his retirement at Albany State.

Chowan (D-II - NC): Chowan has an immediate opening for position of an assistant coach, running backs/strength & conditioning coordinator. This is a full-time (12-month) position that will report to the head football coach and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the universityโ€™s intercollegiate football program. The selected individual will be held accountable to recruit and retain quality student-athletes for the University and the football program and perform other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Preferences include collegiate coaching experience (or other significant coaching experiences) working with running backs and coordinating strength & conditioning programs, experience recruiting Southeastern states as well as video breakdown, analysis and editing with Hudl. Salary range is low to mid $30s with benefits and retirement. Anticipated start date is Jan 15th. Bachelor degree required as is CSCS certification, Masters preferred. Iowa State: Per source, Derek Hoodjer has been promoted to defensive grad assistant and will work with the linebackers. Hoodjer had been serving in a student assistant role with the Cyclones.

Albany State (D-II - GA): Head coach Mike White has announced his retirement from Albany State.
