The active coach with the most all-time draft picks is... (Nick Saban)

Athlon recently conducted a study of the most all-time draft picks among active head coaches, and the results showed it was none other than Mr. Ball Coach himself:

Which, of course, makes sense. Spurrier just finished his 25th season as a head coach, dating back to his first season at Duke in 1987. Of those 99 picks, 31 have come in his 10 seasons at South Carolina - including last year's No. 1 overall pick, Jadeveon Clowney.

When examining first-round picks, Spurrier falls back to third and Nick Saban jumps from No. 3 to No. 1.

One name to watch here moving forward: Jimbo Fisher. He's already produced five first-round picks in his first four drafts as Florida State's head coach, and there's talk out there the 'Noles could challenge 2004 Miami's record with six first-round picks.
