Stanford: A source tells FootballScoop defensive assistant Jarrett Huk has decided to step away from football. We hear they will promote from within for the open position.

Iowa State: Former Edinboro University (D-II - PA) head coach Scott Browning has joined the Cyclones staff as a defensive analyst. Browning led the Edinboro program for ten seasons and had a 57-54 mark. The 57 wins were good for the second most by a head football coach in the history of the Edinboro program.

Stonehill (D-II - MA): Assistant head coach / defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach Eli Gardner has been been promoted to head coach, the school has announced. Gardner was serving as the interim head coach of the program after Robert Talley stepped down at the end of April, and has been with the program for seven seasons.

University of Chicago (D-III): The University of Chicago is accepting applications for a full-time assistant coach (offensive coordinator). This is a 12 month position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to recruiting, assisting the head coach, and offensive coordination (QBs and/or WRs preferred). Video experience with HUDL is a plus. Qualified applicants should be detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills, and having a solid understanding of the NCAA Division III is ideal. A Bachelor’s degree with coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. Lakeland (D-III - WI): Lakeland College has a defensive graduate assistant job available working with the linebackers. Compensation includes meals and $550 per month. The contract is for 10 months. Georgia Tech: Mike Flynn has been announced as assistant AD for communications and public relations.

Bill Blankenship: Blankenship, the former head coach at Tulsa and Union Memorial HS (OK), will make $91,447 for 2016-17 in his new role as the head coach at Fayetteville HS (AR), according to a report from Charlie Hannema.

Valdosta State (D-II - GA): Valdosta State is looking for a defensive graduate assistant. This position will include tuition, housing and a stipend. Calgary Stampeders (Canada): Per source, Catawba College (D-II - NC) defensive backs coach Ahmaad Smith has accepted a guest coaching internship with the Stampeders.

Olivet Nazarene (NAIA - IL): Olivet Nazarene University is seeking opponents for home games on August 26th or October 7th, 2017 and on October 28th, 2017. Los Angeles Rams: The Rams will engage head coach Jeff Fisher and GM Les Snead in contract extension discussions according to Vincent Bonsignore of the LA Daily News.

University of Mary (D-II - ND): The University of Mary is looking to fill their open defensive graduate assistant position working with the secondary. The position is to be filled as soon as possible, starting immediately. Previous coaching experience preferred but not required. Accepting the position is contingent on being accepting into graduate school. Southern Oregon University (NAIA): Southern Oregon University is seeking a defensive line coach. Responsibilities include but not limited to coaching a position group, maintaining a recruiting territory and film analysis/breakdown (HUDL). Position includes a secondary duty within the department of athletics. Compensation is $17,865 (no benefits) with other possibilities of on-campus income in summer. WPI (D-III - MA): WPI has an immediate opening for an offensive intern. The position is 10-month (August – May) and the intern will work with the offensive line (OL) and report directly to the Offensive Coordinator and the Head Football Coach. In addition to coaching a position, the intern will recruit both regionally and nationally, as well as oversee our HUDL film editing system. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree as well as college playing (preferably at the OL position) and coaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates from the northeast region. The position pays a monthly stipend and there is free housing off-campus as well.
