USA Football National Conference: Jon Gruden has been added to the lineup of speakers at USA Football's National Conference January 27th - 29th at the Pro Bowl in Orlando. Join us and 1,000+ coaches at the Conference for only $99.

Southern Miss: Southern Miss is looking to hire a director of digital marketing and creative services. Head here to see full details on the position and to apply.

Delaware (FCS): Sources tell FootballScoop Delaware has been targeting Richmond head coach Danny Rocco to become their new head coach. Richmond plays at North Dakota Saturday in the second round of the FCS playoffs. In 5 years at Richmond, Rocco has won 42 games and a win this weekend would guarantee the Spiders their second straight 10 win season.

Pasadena City College (JC - CA): Pasadena City College is seeking qualified applicants for four assistant football coaches working as GAs on both sides off the ball mostly at skill positions. Playing experience or coaching experience at the collegiate level is desired, but will take High School too. Preference will be given to applicants who are local to Southern California, have experience coaching and have experience in recruiting student athletes. David Cutcliffe: Building a program the right way requires two things...

FAU: Multiple sources tell FootballScoop AD Pat Chun would like to hire a coach with previous head coaching experience. Sources tell us among the candidates are both Mario Cristobal (assistant HC / tackles & tight ends / recruiting coordinator at Alabama) and Randy Shannon (associate HC / co-DC at Florida) but we also hear of other candidates, some with NFL experience. Will update as more is clear. Given the candidates, this one should play out after this weekend's championship games.

Colorado: Buffs athletic director Rick George told ESPN that he expects Mike MacIntyre to opt to remain at Colorado, and adds that they will sit down and talk about a contract extension after the Pac-12 title game.

Defending 3rd Down with Efficiency: Defending first and second down is about executing fundamental schemes, fronts, and coverages accordingly. But a large part of being successful on third down is trying to make both the opposing quarterback and the offensive coordinator unsure of what they are looking at. While tempo offenses allow for a changing of plays before the ball is snapped, it's vital to keep both those individuals guessing on third down. Wheaton College (IL) finished in the top 5 at the Division III level in red zone defense and scoring defense. Defensive coordinator Jordan Langs spoke exclusively with X&O Labs detailing his philosophy and scheme to get off the field on third down. Read the exclusive report here.

Minnesota Vikings: Head coach Mike Zimmer had to have emergency eye surgery last night and his status for their game today is unknown at this time.
