Pat Ivey - 2013 FootballScoop Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year

Florida A&M: Florida A&M University, an NCAA Division I member of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, invites applications for the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coaching position. This is a full-time, twelve-month position. A bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field required, masters preferred. 1-2 years of related experience in strength and conditioning at the collegiate level required. CSCCa-SCCC or NSCA-CSCS certification required. The individual hired will be responsible for assisting the director of strength and conditioning with Florida A&M University’s men’s and women’s varsity sport programs including football. Ohio Northern: Ohio Northern University is accepting applications for a Strength and Conditioning intern for the remainder of the Spring 2014 semester. Responsibilities include: assisting in the supervision and training of the Football program; assisting with daily maintenance, administrative duties and completion of educational assignments. Preferred qualifications include: pursuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Exercise Science related field; current SCCC and/or CSCS certification; CPR certification and previous experience in a strength and conditioning program or have previous collegiate athletics experience. Minimum qualifications include: pursuing SCCC and/or CSCS certification, strong work ethic and the desire to further one’s career in the field of Strength & Conditioning. The position will begin on February 1st and end at the end of May. Compensation includes, free housing, and a stipend of $500 per month. Arkansas State: We hear that Ole Miss assistant strength coach Matt Shadeed is heading to Arkansas State and Mercer assistant director of strength and conditioning Shelton Stevens will be joining his staff.

Western New England: Western New England University Football has an opening for a part-time strength coach for the spring term. The candidate must have CSCS certification, be willing to work non-traditional hours during the week and be local to Western Massachusetts/Northern Connecticut.
