Photo: The first new uniform reveal of 2014? (uniforms)

In uniform parlance, there is a term known as BFBS, standing for "black for black's sake", that popped up in the last decade to describe the onslaught of teams donningblack uniforms for no other reason than that they wanted to wear black uniforms

In the ever-evolving world of football fashion, another term has popped up in college sports of late: GFGS - gray for gray's sake. We've seen it at Texas Tech, Washington State, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M to name a few. And now it may be time to add another to the list: Kentucky.

The Wildcats opened up their uniform catalogue with the arrival of Mark Stoops, even wearing black on a few occasions in 2013, and now they may be taking another step away from the tried and true blue and white.

No word yet on whether this kit will actually see the field, and Kentucky has been known to dabble in prototypes before, so we'll have to wait (sigh) eight-and-a-half months to find out.

For those keeping score at home, this counts as the first new uniform post of 2014. There will be many, many more.
