LSU: Defensive coordinator John Chavis received a one-year contract extension through 2015 back in January 2013, according to Ross Dellenger of the Baton Rouge Advocate. His original deal was set to expire at the end of this season. Fellow assistants Frank Wilson (running backs, recruiting coordinator), Adam Henry (receivers), Corey Raymond (defensive backs), Brick Haley (defensive line) and Steve Ensminger (tight ends) have their deals expiring on March 31, 2015.
Chicago Bears: On the heels of a 3-5 start, and after losing four of their last five games, Marc Trestman fielded questions on his job security earlier today, to which he responded by saying, "The support in this building has been outstanding. Everybody upstairs has been extremely supportive of the way we're handling things."
Green Bay Packers: The Packers and head coach Mike McCarthy have agreed to a multi-year contract extension.
Louisiana-Lafayette: The school has announced that outside linebackers coach David Saunders has left the program, citing "personal reasons". Former Texas Tech defensive coordinator Matt Wallerstedt, who joined the staff as a consultant a few weeks ago, will assume Saunders' coaching position on an interim basis for the rest of the season.
