Florida: Sources tell us that Marshall head coach Doc Holliday is very much a candidate for the head coaching vacancy at Florida. Holliday has served as head coach at Marshall for the past five seasons. From 2005-2007 he was on Urban Meyer's staff at Florida serving as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator. Holliday went on to join the staff at West Virginia where he served two years as associate head coach before being named head coach at Marshall following the 2009 season. Holliday won 10 games at Marshall last season and currently has his team 10-0.
Prairie View A&M (FCS - TX): Head coach Heishma Northern's contract will not be renewed the school announced. Northern served as defensive coordinator for six seasons and has served as head coach the past four. Following a 5-5 record this season, athletic director Ashley Robinson decided to go in a different direction all the while touting all of the progress made under Northern's leadership. "A national search will begin immediately." Defensive backs coach Bubba McDowell will serve as interim.
Florida: Adam Schefter reported at halftime of Monday Night Football that Mike Shanahan is not interested in coaching college football at this time.
Nicholls State (FCS - LA): Louisiana Lafayette secondary coach Tim Rebowe will be the new head coach at Nicholls State per a report from River Parish Football. Sources tell FootballScoop the report is accurate. Very wise to hire a Louisiana guy for this position. Rebowe, who has been on staff at UL for the past ten years grew up in the area and will have a great plan to recruit locally.
Ole Miss: Athletics director Ross Bjork said the school has had contract discussions with Hugh Freeze and expects to extend him after the season. Freeze, who received contract extensions after the 2012 and 2013 seasons, currently makes $3 million a year.
Phoenix College (JC - AZ): The head coaching position is open. We understand that the position will officially be posted next week.
Minnesota-Morris (D-III): Head coach Todd Hickman has been let go. The University says a search will begin immediately.

Northeast Mississippi (CC): The school has now made it official. Head coach Ricky Smither will not return.
North Texas: Defensive coordinator John Skladany has announced he will retire at season's end.
Florida: ESPN's Brett McMurphy tweeted this morning that sources told him that neither Rich Rodriguez nor Dan Mullen will be considered for the open head coaching position at Florida. - We have said all along (including yesterday) that Mullen and Foley had an issue and we didn't see that happening; but Brett saying Rich Rod won't be a candidate was fairly surprising. There was a purpose behind Brett's tweet. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Alderson Broaddus (D-II - WV): Alderson Broaddus University has an immediate opening for a graduate intern defensive tackle coach. Candidates must have played defensive tackle at the college level or coached defensive tackles at the college level. Bob Stoops: On his weekly teleconference this morning, Bob Stoops said, "All I want to be is a candidate at Oklahoma. I'm not a candidate anywhere else. I'm finished with that question."
Concordia-Ann Arbor (NAIA - MI): Offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Erik Matth has been let go, per source.
Millikin (D-III - IL): Per source, offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Tim Connell and recruiting coordinator / defensive line coach Patrick Colligan will not return.
McKendree (D-II - IL): Defensive coordinator Steve Barrows and defensive backs coach Antoine Manning will not return to the staff.
