Texas A&M-Kingsville (D-II): The Javelinas have announced the hirings of defensive coordinator David Brown II, offensive line coach Phil Serchia and defensive line coach Ronnie Palmer.

Ferrum College (D-III - VA): Per source, Catholic University defensive coordinator Brian Zyglocke left to become the defensive coordinator at his alma mater.

Montana State-Northern (NAIA): Montana State University Northern, a NAIA school located in Havre, MT, is looking for one offensive and one defensive graduate assistant coach to start immediately. Bethune-Cookman (FCS - FL): Per source, former Georgia Tech wide receiver/Central Florida offensive graduate assistant William Glover is the new wide receivers coach at Bethune-Cookman.

Wesleyan University (D-III - CT): Head coach Michael Whalen has stepped down from the head coaching job at his alma mater (a position he's held since 2010) to focus on his duties as athletic director. Whalen was 26-14 in his five seasons leading the program, including a 14-2 mark over the past two years. Associate head coach / defensive coordinator Dan DiCenzo is being elevated to head coach.

Washington Redskins: The Redskins have announced former Idaho head coach Robb Akey as defensive line coach. He spent the 2014 season as the Vikings' assistant defensive line coach.

Navarro College (JC - TX): Navarro College has removed the interim tag and named Cody Crill the program's new head coach.

ACC: ACC coordinator of football officials Doug Rhoads has announced his retirement.

Stephen F. Austin (FCS - TX): Per source, head coach Clint Conque has agreed to a new six-year contract through 2020, with a salary increase and enhanced on field and academic performance incentives. In addition, the assistant coaches base salary pool was increased to $700,000 and continues to include on field and academic performance incentives. Conque went 8-5 in his debut season of 2014, a five-win jump from 2013.

Carson-Newman (D-II - TN): Don Woods, who spent the last seven seasons at VMI as the chief of staff and defensive line coach, has accepted the quarterbacks job on Ken Sparks' staff. Woods takes over for Alex Good who has decided to return to Europe to continue his professional playing career.

Western New England (D-III - MA): Jordan Bible, who coached the defensive backs at Augustana College (D-III - IL) last season, has been hired to coach the defensive backs.

New Mexico State: Head coach Doug Martin has rearranged his staff a bit. The staff will shape up as follows; Doug Martin (HC / OC), Walt Wells (OL / run game coordinator), Sean Johnson (RBs), Kevin McKeethan (TEs / inside receivers / recruiting coordinator), Zane Vance (DC / LBs), Kerri Locklin (DTs), Oliver Soukup (DEs), Todd Littlejohn (assistant HC / CBs), Will Martin (safeties). We understand that Cory Martin, who recently joined his father's staff from the University of San Diego, will join the staff as special teams coordinator, and will also likely coach the outside receivers.

USC: Oklahoma State offensive line coach Bob Connelly will be the new offensive line coach at USC reports Dan Weber. FootballScoop radio listeners have heard us mention on each of the past two shows that Connelly was listening to NFL & other major college opportunities.

SUNY Maritime (D-III - NY): SUNY Maritime is no longer accepting applicants for the intern / grad assistant position. Thank you for the overwhelming interest in the position.

Murray State (FCS - KY): Cal quality control coach Eddie Hicks will be the new corners coach at Murray State, per source.

UNC-Pembroke (D-II): Joe Ford has been hired as defensive backs coach/co-defensive coordinator.

Utah: The Utes have announced a number of additions and changes to Kyle Whittingham's staff. John Pease (who last coached the defensive line for the Utes in 2010 before retiring) has been hired as defensive coordinator/defensive line coach, Justin Ena has joined as linebackers coach, offensive line coach Jim Harding has added co-offensive coordinator and run game coordinator titles, quarterbacks coach Aaron Roderick will be co-offensive coordinator and pass game coordinator, and safeties coach/recruiting coordinator Morgan Scalley has will also serve as special teams coordinator and running backs coach Dennis Erickson has added an assistant head coach title.

Tarleton State (D-II - TX): Per source, Chase Holbrook will be joining the staff as quarterbacks coach.

Denver Broncos: Fred Pagac, the former Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator and Buffalo Bills assistant, has been hired to coach the outside linebackers in Denver according to Alex Marvez.

Virginia Tech: Old Dominion wide receivers coach Zohn Burden has been added to Frank Beamer's staff and will coach the receivers.

Menlo (NAIA - CA): Menlo College, the only NAIA program in the state of California, has decided to drop their football program.

Atlanta Falcons: As expected, the Falcons and Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn reached an agreement overnight for Quinn to become the new head coach of the franchise. Per Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter, the deal is for 5-years.

Arizona Cardinals: Outside linebackers coach James Bettcher is expected to be promoted to defensive coordinator according to a report from Ian Rapoport.
