Moravian: Moravian College's Strength and Department is currently accepting applications for volunteer interns for the Winter 2016 semester. Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and fields for conditioning workouts; daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room and all of its equipment; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. This is an unpaid position, however, volunteers will receive experience working at a Division III program, better understanding of program design, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicants should be working towards earning their Bachelor’s degree and a certification from the NSCA- CSCS, CSCCA, or USAW. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, able to follow directions, desire to learn, and have a strong work ethic. Southern Cal: The University of Southern California Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for a volunteer intern to work with the Football team during spring 2016. Start date is January 11, 2016. Intern will work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include assisting with daily operations, administrative and maintenance duties, and researching topics and various assignments as directed by the strength staff. This is an unpaid internship, with no compensation or housing provided. However, intern may be eligible to receive undergraduate credit hours (if applicable), and may earn a letter of recommendation for future opportunities in the field. Intern will receive professional work experience to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Intern must be highly motivated, and have a strong work ethic and keen interest in the strength and conditioning profession. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field; prior experience participating in college athletics; CSCS or USAW certification; CPR certification; prior coaching experience.
