Utah State: Head coach Matt Wells has received a one year extension (now under contract through the 2019 season). The new agreement includes a $100,000 per year increase in base pay to $750,000 (per USA Today's Steve Berkowitz).

Emporia State (D-II - KS): Emporia State University is seeking applicants for a graduate assistant working with the defensive side of the football. Compensation includes tuition and a monthly stipend. Housing is not a part of the package. Position includes but is not limited to: working with a defensive position group (will be determined based off of applicants), assist with aspects of Special Teams, video editing, equipment room, assisting with on-campus recruiting visits, managing a recruiting area, computer skills, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Minorities are encouraged to apply. All applicants must be able to provide transcript information and be able to be admitted to Graduate School at Emporia State University. Successful applicants must complete a background check prior to employment. University of the South (D-III - TN): The University of the South is looking for a home / home series against a Division III opponent for the following dates: September 16, 2017 and September 15, 2018 September 23, 2017 and September 22, 2018. If interested please contact assistant coach, Tom Evangelista at tmevange@sewanee.edu.

Stetson (FCS - FL): Stetson head coach Roger Hughes has announced that Bob Majeski is joining the staff and will coach the linebackers. Majeski is a 30-year coaching veteran and spent the last two seasons as the assistant head coach / special teams coordinator / defensive backs coach at Highland CC (KS).

Moravian College (D-III - PA): Garrett Bisbing will be the new tight ends coach, per source. Bisbing coached the offensive line at Allentown Central HS (PA) last season.

Lake Forest (D-III - IL): Per source, Ted Soenksen has returned to Lake Forest College as offensive coordinator. Soenksen spent the past two years as an assistant at Limestone College (D-II - SC), and served as the offensive line coach at Lake Forest prior to that. We understand that Mike Arthur, the offensive coordinator last season, has accepted an assistant coaching position at Glenville State.
