In October, Bemidji State freshman offensive lineman Jake Krause was diagnosed with cancer, specifically Hodgkin's Lymphoma. In the six months since, the Krause family has incurred the type of costs a family trying to keep its son alive incurs.

And now his football program wants to help.

Bemidji State will hold its annual spring game on Thursday night. Admission is free to the public, but the school will take donations to help the Krause family cover the cost of Jake's medical care.

The Wadena, Minn., native is currently undergoing chemotherapy and hopes to return to the team in the fall.

For those not able to make it to Chet Anderson Stadium in Bemidji, Minn., in the next 48 hours, donations can also be mailed to the BSU Foundation, 1500 Birchmont Drive NE #17, Bemidji, MN, 56601.
