Grove City (D-III - PA): Grove City College announces an opening for an Intern Assistant Football and Strength and Conditioning Coach. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for coaching a position group (TBD) for the football team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: film breakdown, advance scouting, game planning, practice planning, motivation, and fostering a Christian environment. As well as supporting the head football coach and carrying out whatever assistant coaching responsibilities that are he is assigned (recruiting, meeting with alumni, etc.and others TBD.) The candidate also will also be responsible for assisting the strength and conditioning program for the entire athletic department. This will require collaborating with the strength and conditioning staff to develop and coach the proper workout protocol for all of the athletic programs at on Grove City College for both their in-season and out of season time periods.. The qualified candidate posesses a current strength and conditioning certification, preferably either CSCS, or CSCCa. Notre Dame: The Olympic Strength and Conditioning department at the University of Notre Dame is currently accepting applications for internship positions for the Fall 2017 semester. Interns will have the opportunity to work with all 25 Olympic Sport Teams at the University of Notre Dame. Qualifications: 1. Candidates MUST be enrolled in an institution of higher education AND be receiving class credit. 2. Candidates must possess or be working toward a certification through the CSCCa, NSCA and/or USAW. 3. Candidates must possess one year of previous experience in a strength and conditioning program or have previous collegiate athletic experience. 4. Candidates must have outstanding work ethic and attention to detail. 5. Candidates must have a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Compensation: There is no monetary compensation provided. However, the position offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as the fulfillment of credit hours toward a program degree. Interns will receive hands on experience with Olympic sport teams.
