Stockton (NJ): Phil Aumack, a former intern from Princeton, has been hired as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Stockton University.
Campbell: Campbell Universityโs Strength and Conditioning Department is currently seeking 2-3 qualified intern candidates for the Spring 2018 semester. Internship will begin on January 29, 2018 and conclude on May 2, 2018. This is an unpaid position. No monetary compensation will be provided. Accepted applicants will be eligible to apply completed hours during the internship towards CSCCa practicum requirements and/or undergraduate/graduate internship requirements, in addition to gaining a recommendation for future employment. Intern responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to the following: 1.) Assisting with the supervision of athletes and implementation of training programs for various sports, 2.) Setting up and breaking down of equipment for training sessions, 3.) Assisting with routine maintenance of training facilities, 4.) Active participation in projects and assignments throughout the duration of the internship, 5.) Any other duties assigned by the Strength and Conditioning staff. Applicants must be certified or working towards certification with the CSCCa (SCCC) or the NSCA (CSCS) and have current CPR/AED certification. Candidates must possess a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. LSU: Louisiana State University is currently accepting applications for 5 Summer 2018 volunteer internship positions. Qualified candidates would work with the Football Strength and Conditioning Department as well as other sports. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the LSU Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the Summer program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. PARTICIPATION IN COLLEGIATE FOOTBALL OR COLLEGIATE TRACK AND FIELD IS REQUIRED. Other preferred qualifications include certification from an accredited organization, previous coaching experience, and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. There is no monetary compensation so if this position is not an economically feasible option for you, please do not apply. Houston: The University of Houston Football Sports Performance is currently accepting applications for UNPAID internships for the spring of 2018. Internship report date is Monday, January 15th, 2018. Applicants should have, or be working towards, a BA/BS in an Exercise Science related field. Completion of this internship can fulfill potential credit hours toward a program degree, and offer an opportunity for advancement in the field of sports performance. Preferred qualifications include certification from one or more of the following (CSCCa, CSCS, USAW), previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching basic weight room exercises. This position is responsible for assisting the football sports performance staff with the implementation of the winter/spring program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands-on experience training collegiate athletes.
