Oregon State: The Oregon State University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Volunteer Interns. This internship will begin January 7th, 2019 and will conclude at the end of March 22nd, 2019. This is an unpaid position. Compensation will include gear, learning from an approved mentor via the CSCCa, potential to sit for the SCCC certification, and recommendations for future career opportunities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for the Oregon State University Football team, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of the internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related field of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. All applicants should have, or be working towards an accredited certification (CSCS or SCCC). Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate setting and personal involvement in a collegiate sport.

Upper Iowa (D-II): Upper Iowa University has two open spots open for the spring 2019 internship program. These are full-time positions that last from January 7th, 2019 to May 2nd, 2019. This is an UNPAID VOLUNTEER internship, working will all aspects and sports of Upper Iowa University's Strength and Conditioning Program. This is a program for individuals who are highly motivated, willing to learn and gain knowledge in strength and conditioning, and coaching experience. Responsibilities include facility maintenance and up keep, professional development (continuing education, readings, assignments, working towards certifications), and assisting with set up/break down of the weight room. More responsibility will be given to individuals who are able to prove they can handle more of a load. Applicants should possess a high level of enthusiasm and energy, willingness to work 7-8 hours a day (weekends when necessary), a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science (or related field) or in final semester, certified in CPR/AED, and preferred to be certified or working towards a certification from the following organizations: CSCCA, NSCA, USAW. Pace (D-II - NY): The Pace University Strength and Conditioning department is accepting applications for our Unpaid Internship Program. Start Date will be mid-January. Preferred skills include: Experience with Power/Olympic lifting movements and best practices; excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Interns will focus on communications while learning every aspect of how a strength and conditioning department operates with Football and Olympic varsity athletics teams within the highly competitive Northeast-10 Conference and will leave the program fully prepared for the next step in their career. Salary: This is an unpaid internship. Course/internship credit if the intern is a student and their host institution approves the internship.
