Clemson: Clemson University Department of Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill Fall 2017 internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Individuals will also have the opportunity to work with all the Olympic sports that train out of the Jervey weight room. It may fulfill course credit if necessary. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, attending to daily maintenance of the training facilities, and professional development throughout internship program. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach and pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s). Compensation: This is a non-paid volunteer position. You will gain experience as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Strength & Conditioning. Waldorf (NAIA - IA): Waldorf University is now accepting resumes for a Interim Strength and Conditioning Coach for one semester. Position includes free housing on campus and $150 towards meal credit at campus dining hall. Interim strength coach must be working towards completion of Undergraduate degree or needs hours to complete graduation. Louisiana Tech: The Louisiana Tech University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications to fill a Part-Time Assistant Strength Coach Position. This position will work directly with football and one designated Olympic Sport. Playing experience at defensive back or receiver would be preferred as well as being well versed in the Olympic lifts and their variations. Monetary compensation for this position includes a $12,000 stipend paid over a 12 month period. Qualifications include 2-3 years experience in a collegiate S & C program, must have a Masters, and must be CSCS or SCCC certified. Southwestern Oklahoma State (D-II - OK): Southwestern Oklahoma State University is seeking a qualified individual for a Graduate Assistant (GA) to help in all phases of a successful strength and conditioning program. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to designing and implementing a strength and conditioning program for all assigned teams and assist with implementation of training programs for all athletic teams. Other responsibilities will include designing a facility maintenance program, updating social media sites, daily weight room upkeep, and advising interns. Constant communication from the GA to the Head Strength and Conditioning coach, head sport coaches of assigned teams, and athletic training staff of assigned teams will be required. Other responsibilities will be given by the Head Strength and Conditioning coach when necessary. Graduate Assistants receive $2,800.00 per semester and will receive 18 hours of graduate level tuition at SWOSU per year.
