Texas A&M: Texas A&M Sports Performance Department (Olympic Sports) is now accepting applications for multiple part-time intern positions for the 2019-2020 school year. Interns will assist the sports performance staff in all day-to-day operations at three Texas A&M Olympic weight rooms. Practical experiences will include but are not limited to: assisting staff in the implementation of sport performance programs for Olympic sports, leading small groups independently, set up/breakdown of training equipment, some travel and assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities. Interns will participate and complete all assignment requirements through our formalized intern education curriculum and attend all staff meetings. Interns will be subject to and must pass a criminal background check to be eligible for the position. This is a paid position and upon completion of both Fall and Spring semesters, interns will be qualified to sit for the SCCC exam from the CSCCa if they desire. Interns will also benefit from experiencing weekly structured education sessions and the opportunity to learn from 8 experienced and diverse sports performance coaches, including several Master Certified Coaches. Youngstown State: Brian Sklenar is now in a director's role responsible for overseeing all of the YSU strength and conditioning department, and Terry Grossetti has been named head strength and conditioning coach for football, per source.

Sacred Heart: The Sacred Heart University Strength & Conditioning Staff is looking for qualified interns with an interest in Collegiate Strength & Conditioning to work with the Sacred Heart University Football Team during their training sessions this summer. There will be opportunities to work with other teams as well. These positions are unpaid, do not include housing or meals, but will provide valuable experience in Collegiate Strength & Conditioning. The internship start date will be May 28th and will go until July 31st. Preferred candidates should possess or be working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in or related to the field of Exercise Science. An NSCA-CSCS, CSCCa, or USAW Certification is preferred but not required. Missouri Southern State: Missouri Southern State University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Volunteer Interns (UNPAID) for the Summer of 2019. This internship will start the beginning of June and run until the first week of August. This is a football only internship. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of the internship curriculum. This is a hands on internship which you will gain experience coaching college athletes and developing your specific coaching style. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate and or professional setting. All undergraduate applicants should be working towards their NSCA/CSCCA certification. Other preferred qualifications include previous experience involved in a collegiate sport. All potential applicants are strongly advised to make sure this internship is economically feasible before applying. Kennesaw State: Kennesaw State is looking to hire a professional intern. This is a full time, benefitted position. Job responsibilities include leading the training of several Olympic Sports teams, assisting with football when available, and other tasks as assigned by Director.
