Western Michigan: Following last night's loss to Ball State (which dropped the Broncos to 6-5, 4-3 in the MAC), head coach Tim Lester has decided to fire defensive coordinator Tim Daoust with six days remaining in their regular season. WMU closes out their regular season next Tuesday vs NIU. 6 days. Daoust has served as defensive coordinator the past two seasons at WMU. Co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Lou Esposito will lead the defense vs. NIU.

Southeastern (NAIA - FL): Southeastern University is accepting applications for a graduate assistant working with the offensive skill position. This position includes tuition, stipend, and meal plan. The successful candidate must provide his own housing. Applicants must have a strong Christian faith and work within Southeastern University’s Christian mission. Responsibilities include practice/game preparation, recruiting, equipment, video, film breakdown, data entry, and other duties assigned by the head coach or offensive coordinator. Experience playing and/or coaching wide receiver is preferred, as well as recruiting the state of Florida. Miami-Arkansas State: The dueling lawsuits between Miami and Arkansas State over the Hurricanes' cancelled game in Jonesboro last September due to Hurricane Irma have finally been settled with Miami paying Arkansas State $400,000, according to the Miami Herald.

Finlandia (D-III - MI): Travis Wiltzius, who has been serving as the program's interim head coach since April, has had been named the program's head coach moving forward. Wiltzius had been with the program since its inception in 2015, initially as offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator before adding the assistant head coach role in 2017.

Maryland: Athletic director Damon Evans has enlisted the services of Parker Executive Search as the Terps look for their new head coach, per the Washington Post.

Kansas: LA Rams senior offensive assistant Jedd Fisch is being considered for the Jayhawks head coaching job, per Angelique Chengelis. Fisch is the former Michigan pass game coordinator and UCLA offensive coordinator that has carved out a really interesting role on Sean McVay's staff.

Lindenwood-Belleville (NAIA - IL): Defensive coordinator Pat Stewart is being promoted to head coach, sources tell FootballScoop. Stewart previously served as the defensive coordinator at Seton Hill (D-II - PA) and Nebraska Kearney (D-II) and is the former head coach at Western State (D-II - CO).

Bemidji State (D-II - MN): Bemidji State University is seeking applicants for two entry level assistant positions. One offense, one defense. These coaching positions are unpaid with potential for promotion in the future. Previous coaching or playing experience preferred. Off-campus jobs are available for those interested. USC: After practice yesterday Clay Helton addressed rumors about his job security with the Trojans by sharing, "My plan is to be here another 15 years. I'd like to do it until I'm 60 right here. That's my plan, and I feel very secure in where I'm at."

Dodge City CC (JC - KS): Dodge City Community College is searching for a Head Football Coach. This position will be a full time 12 month coaching position. Ohio Northern: ONU Football is seeking a talented, enthusiastic Recruiting / Operations Intern. This position will be responsible for recruiting, organizing and contacting prospects for the entire football program. The preferred candidate would have working knowledge of hudl, video editing software, social media, graphic design etc. The selected candidate will work primarily with the recruiting aspect of the program with occasional duties within the operations side as well. This position is a great opportunity for a young person to build a resume and expand their football operations experiences. This position has the potential to become an on-field position. This position will begin ASAP with a probable start date of December 1, 2018. This position will be a stipend position (amount TBD) with free housing. Ohio State: An "irate" Urban Meyer says they're looking into legal action against an "outrageous" Brett McMurphy report from yesterday.

Dodge City CC (JC - KS): Head coach Gary Thomas has resigned as head coach at Dodge City and has decided to pursue other interests outside of football. Thomas took over the program in 2013. Dodge City will immediately begin a search for a new head coach, and wide receivers coach Jamar Johnson will serve as the interim head coach for the program.

Dordt (NAIA - IA):Dordt College is looking for a game on Aug 31, 2019. We will consider home or away contests including a potential guarantee. Interested programs can contact Coach Aaron Mingo at aaron.mingo@dordt.edu.
