Jacksonville Jaguars: Former Jets defensive backs coach Joe Danna will be the assistant defensive backs coach for the Jags, per Alex Marvez.

Sam Houston State (FCS): Former Nevada offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey has been named offensive coordinator. Cramsey has previous FCS coordinating experience at New Hampshire and Montana State. He replaces 2016 FootballScoop FCS Coordinator of the Year Phil Longo, who left for the same position at Ole Miss.

West Georgia: As we initially reported this morning,West Georgia has now formally announced David Dean as the program's 12th head coach.

Seattle Seahawks: Rocky Seto, the assistant head coach for defense on Pete Carroll's staff the past two seasons, is leaving the staff to enter the ministry, according to the Seattle Times, who add that the team has confirmed the news. Seto has been a part of Carroll's staff over 16 seasons, starting as USC from 2001-2009 where he held five different roles before joining Carroll in Seattle where he started as a quality control coach on defense before moving to assistant defensive backs, then defensive passing game coordinator, and finally to assistant head coach for defensive in 2015.

Scoop Her Up: Tyanna Newman is a flexible, goal-oriented college student looking to work her away into an entry-level position on a college coaching and/or strength staff. She began working as a student at Boise State in 2012 assisting with the Broncos' special teams, and has spent the past four years as a student assistant at Liberty. Working alternately with the quarterbacks, running backs and tight ends, Newman's duties have included breaking down opponent film, managing practice scripts and monitoring the play chart. Newman is set to graduate this spring with a degree in exercise science, and her references include Liberty OC Joe Dailey, head strength coach Bill Gillespie, defensive coordinator Robert Wimberly, and Tulane running backs coach Jamaal Fobbs. Western Michigan: Tim Lester has announced a number of off-the-field staff members including Syracuse DFO Drew Robinson as The Broncos director of football operations, Allegheny (D-III - PA) offensive coordinator Kyle Derickson as director of player personnel, and Purdue assistant strength coach Gavin Roberts as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts have announced six candidates for their vacant GM post that include Chris Ballard (Chiefs director of football operations), George Paton (Vikings assistant GM0, Jimmy Raye III (Colts interim GM), Eliot Wolf (Packers director of football operations), and Seahawks co-player personnel directors Scott Fitterer and Trent Kirchner.

Alma (D-III - MI):Alma College is looking for a two-year agreement with a D-III school for an away game on 9/1/18 and home game on 9/7/19. Interested school can contact head coach Greg Psconda at pscodnags@alma.edu.

Rutgers: Former Delaware assistant Henry Baker has joined the staff as corners coach, per Adam Rittenberg.

North Carolina: The program has formally announced the additions of Deke Adams (DL) and Terry Joseph (DBs).

Poinsettia Bowl: The San Diego-based Poinsettia Bowl will close its doors moving forward and the Holiday Bowl will consider moving to the Padres' Petco Park with Qualcomm Stadium closing its doors next year.

Western Michigan: David Duggan (LBs) and Bill Kenney (TEs / tackles) have both been retained and the two additions complete Tim Lester's staff.

ESPN: Brent Musburger has announce he will step down at the end of this month. Looking live at one of the great careers in college football broadcasting.

Keiser University (NAIA - FL): Per source, Keiser University has hired two assistant coaches to the first-year program in Cody Edwards and David Pasquale. Edwards was the defensive coordinator at John Cooper School (TX), while Pasquale is a former Toledo player who recently served as an assistant coach at Ida Baker HS (FL).

Morehead State (FCS - KY): Morehead State University is currently seeking a full-time defensive back / STC assistant coach. Position includes coaching, recruiting, and administrative duties assigned by HFC and Defensive Coordinator. Compensation is $36,000-$38,000 with benefits. Qualifications: Master’s degree required. Previous college coaching (DB), and special teams experience required. Position to begin as soon as possible. Indianapolis Colts: Former Bills wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal has been hired to coach the Colts wide receivers, per Adam Schefter.

Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs have now formally added Greg Lewis as their wide receivers coach.

Brent Musberger: Legendary announcer Brent Musberger will end his play-by-play career with ABC / ESPN at the end of January the network has announced.

The University of Mary (D-II - ND): The University of Mary is currently seeking a graduate assistant coach on offense coaching wide receivers. Compensation consists of a full tuition wavier and a stipend. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Previous coaching or playing experience with wide receivers is required. West Georgia (D-II): Sources tell FootballScoop that former Valdosta State (D-II - GA) head coach David Dean will be the new head coach at UWG. Dean led the Valdosta State program from 2007-2015 and most recently served as the co-offensive coordinator / wide receivers coach at Georgia Southern.

South Carolina: Co-offensive coordinator / wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon has a new 2-year deal worth $500,000 this season and $515,000 in 2018.

Western Michigan: Jake Moreland's title with the Broncos is co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach. Moreland coached the receivers at Air Force last season.

Towson: Lyndon Johnson is moving from running backs coach to defensive coordinator. Prior to joining the Towson staff two years ago Johnson coached the outside linebackers at Maryland.

Michigan: Greg Frey, who served as the co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach at Indiana last season, has joined the Michigan staff as tackles / tight ends coach and run game coordinator according to Sam Webb, who notes that Jay Harbaugh (who had been coaching the tight ends) will move to running backs.

East Mississippi CC (JC): Offensive coordinator Marcus Wood has resigned from coaching to accept a position in administration with the school, per source.

Lafayette College (FCS - PA): Marc Nudelberg, who spent last season at Nevada as special teams coordinator and running backs coach, has joined the Lafayette staff as special teams coordinator / recruiting coordinator.

Clemson: The addition of Jacksonville State defensive line coach coach Todd Bates to the same role at Clemson is now official, as is the promotion of Mickey Conn (from analyst to safeties coach) and defensive backs coach Mike Reed will now focus on the corners.

New York Jets: Per Mike Triplett, Saints receivers coach John Morton has interviewed with the Jets for their offensive coordinator job.

Santa Ana (JC - CA): Santa Ana College has an immediate opening for a RBs coach. Duties include coaching running backs, assisting with special teams, recruiting Orange County CA, game planning, HUDL breakdowns. This is a stipend position earning $5-7K per year. Other income opportunities may exist if candidate has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology. Attending all team meetings, functions, fundraising, and practices are mandatory.
