Les Miles: Miles conducted meetings in March about possibly re-starting the UT-Arlington football program, according to Ben Baby of the Dallas Morning News. Obviously, UTA has not re-started football and Miles is now the head coach at Kansas.

Ole Miss: Matt Luke noted today at his presser that he's more concerned with finding the "right fit" at defensive coordinator than having a guy in place before the early signing day, sharing, "If it works out where I can get him before the signing period, that's obviously best. But I'm not going to put that ahead of finding the right fit." Luke also shared that offensive coordinator Phil Longo is getting some interest from head coaching vacancies after finishing with top 10 offenses the past two seasons.

Louisville: Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm reportedly met with Louisville AD Vince Tyra today. An update on this search.

Delaware (FCS): Per source, offensive coordinator / running backs coach Matt Simon has been let go. Simon previously spent the six seasons on staff at Buffalo and also has ten seasons experience as an assistant at the NFL level.

Concordia University (D-III - Chicago, IL): Sources tell FootballScoop that head coach Mike Juscik will not return after one leading the team for one season. CUC finished 2-8 overall and 1-6 in conference play. Juscik previously served as the team's defensive coordinator dating back to 2014.

Auburn: Brandon Marcello points out that offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey collects a $100,000 retention bonus if he remains employed by Auburn Sunday.

Kliff Kingsbury: The former Texas Tech head coach has two "firm offers" from NFL teams, tweets Gil Brandt.

Auburn: Gus Malzahn is close to agreeing to a deal including a number of concessions from him to remain head coach at Auburn reports Philip Marshall.

USC: Sources tell FootballScoop Clay Helton is making changes. Tee Martin, Ronnie Bradford and additional changes happening at USC.Update: USC has confirmed the moves.

Tulane: Offensive coordinator Doug Ruse will not be retained on Willie Fritz's staff, sharing in the official annnouncement that Willie Fritz will take things in a "new direction with our offense from a philosophical standpoint."

William & Mary (FCS - VA): Howard (FCS - Washington, DC) offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brennan Marion is following Mike London to William & Mary in the same capacity, sources tell FootballScoop.

Derek Mason: After a recent SB Nation article tied Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason to the Colorado opening, the Tennessean asked Mason about that possibility. Mason's response was, "it would be unfair to my student athletes and Vanderbilt University" to comment directly on that opening.

Kliff Kingsbury: Jay Glazer, when asked if he thinks Kliff Kingsbury will have opportunities to serve as an offensive coordinator in the NFL, offered, "I think Kingsbury's phone will be ringing off the hook."

USC: Defensive linen coach Kenechi Udeze will not return to the staff.

Texas Southern (FCS): Sources with direct knowledge tell FootballScoop head coach Mike Haywood has been let go. In three seasons at the helm, Haywood's squad won eight games.

East Texas Baptist (D-III): Frisco (TX) head coach Vance Gibson has joined the staff as defensive backs coach, tweets Brad Cesak of the NBC affiliate in Shreveport.

Western Kentucky: Tyson Helton has been formally announced as the new head coach at WKU.

North Carolina: Mack Brown's deal at North Carolina is 5 years at $3.5 million per year ($750,000 base, $2 million additional from UNC, $700,000 from Nike & Learfield combined).

Western Kentucky: WKU will formally introduce Tyson Helton as its next head coach at a 1 p.m. ET press conference.

North Carolina: It's official. UNC has formally announced Mack Brown is back as their new head coach. He'll meet the public at a noon ET press conference.

McNeese State (FCS - LA): Candidates interested in the head coaching position at McNeese State can contact search committee chair and associate athletic director Tanner Stines at tstines@mcneese.edu.

Mount St. Joseph (D-III – OH): Mount St. Joseph University is looking to fill multiple openings for Position Coaches within their staff, on both sides of the ball. In addition to running meetings and practice for their assigned position, Position coaches will be given a recruiting area, help with hosting recruiting visits, assist coordinator with game and practice plans, data entry/editing for film and recruiting database, and assist the Head Coach and Coordinator as necessary. These are stipend positions with no housing or other benefits. All positions will be considered to try and find best coach and best overall fit. FAU: Lane Kiffin has hired former LSU receivers coach DJ McCarthy to coach his receivers, source tells FootballScoop. McCarthy served as director of player development at FAU in 2017 and coached receivers for the Edmonton Eskimos this past season. The Sun Sentinel was among the first to report the news.

Sacramento State (FCS): After five seasons, the school has announced that head coach Jody Sears will not return to lead the program in 2019. Sears was 20-35 overall with Sac State, highlighted by a 7-4 finish and Big Sky co-coach of the year honors in 2017. The program finished 2-8 this season, including a 0-7 mark in conference play.
