New Mexico Highlands (D-II): Source tells FootballScoop New Mexico Highlands head coach Jeff Mills will not return. Mills served as head coach of the Cowboys the past two seasons.

Michigan: Tim Drevno has agreed to a new 5 year deal worth $1 million per according to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports.

Temple: Philadelphia Inquirer sportswriter Marc Narducci reports this evening that Jim Panagos will join Geoff Collins' staff coaching the defensive line. Sources tell FootballScoop the same. Panagos was named FootballScoop Defensive Line Coach of the Year in 2009 while at UCF...with Geoff Collins. Panagos volunteered this season at Pitt after coaching the past four seasons at Rutgers.

Detroit Lions: Asked if he'd been told his job was safe, head coach Jim Caldwell declined to say and said he wouldn't tell the media even if he did know, according to the Detroit Free Press. The Lions visit Seattle for an NFL Wildcard game on Saturday.

San Francisco 49ers: The Niners will interview Bills interim head coach Anthony Lynn tomorrow according to ESPN's Josina Anderson and Colts VP of football operations Jimmy Raye III for the vacant GM over the weekend, per Ian Rapoport.

Minnesota: AD Mark Coyle stated tonight that they will pay out the full amounts due to Tracy Claeys and all staff members under their contracts (not their buyouts). Update: Well, after the presser, Minnesota "clarified" that Claeys will only receive his buyout whereas the assistants will he be their full contracts.

San Diego Chargers: Tampa Bay defensive coordinator Mike Smith will also interview for the Chargers head coaching job, per Adam Schefter.

Minnesota: In announcing that head coach Tracy Claeys won't return, AD Mark Coyle notes that long-time staffer Dan O'Brien and linebackers coach Mike Sherels "have agreed to remain during the coaching transition to ensure that our student-athletes have strong and active leadership in the interim."

Nebraska-Kearney (D-II): We reported yesterday that UNK had offered their head coaching job to Eastern New Mexico head coach Josh Lynn, and sources tell FootballScoop this evening that Lynn has accepted the job and will become the program's new head coach.

Senior Bowl: The Bears & Browns staffs will coach in the Senior Bowl.

Minnesota: Tracy Claeys will not return as head coach, according to multiple reports. Read more here.

Texas: Texas has now confirmed Tim Beck as the 'Horns' new offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach. Texas will also hire Chicago Bears running backs coach Stan Drayton, a former Ohio State colleague of Tom Herman's, according to Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods.com. 

St. Thomas (D-III - MN): The University of St. Thomas has an opening for a speed and strength coach/position coach. It is a restricted/stipended, 8-month position. The candidate must be certified in strength and conditioning and also includes coaching a position group. Those interested can contact head coach Glenn Caruso at football@stthomas.edu.

Wake Forest: Dave Clawson has inked an extension through 2024, the program has announced. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Houston: Athletic director Hunter Yurachek has signed a new 5-year deal worth $450,000 annually, per Joseph Duarte.

Oberlin (D-III - OH): The offensive line job has been filled, and Oberlin is no longer accepting applications. Thank you for the overwhelming interest.

Charleston (D-II - WV): The University of Charleston (NCAA II, Charleston WV) has an opening for a sefensive assistant coach. Experience, coaching linebackers is necessary. This is a full-time position. There are additional responsibilities with Special Teams and possible Def. Coordinator responsibilities. Indiana Wesleyan (NAIA): Sources tell FootballScoop that Wheaton (D-III - IL) pass game coordinator / quarterbacks coach Eric Terrazas is being hired as the offensive coordinator on Jordan Langs' staff. Also, Wheaton (D-III - IL) defensive graduate assistant Josh Aldrin is being hired to coach the defensive line. Langs takes over the Indiana Wesleyan program after serving as the defensive coordinator at Wheaton the past several seasons.

Indiana University of Pennsylvania (D-II): Defensive coordinator / associate head coach Paul Tortorella has been named the program's acting head coach for the 2017 season. Tortorella, who just completed his 22nd season as the program's defensive coordinator, replaces Curt Cignetti, who left to become the head coach at Elon (FCS - NC). Tortorella was the 2012 winner of FootballScoop's Division II Coordinator of the Year Award.

Richmond (FCS - VA): Head coach Ross Huesman has formally announced a number of staff members, most of which we have already reported. They are; Jeff Durden (OC), Adam Braitwaite (DC), Carey Bailey (DL), Adam Ross (OL), Dave Legg (DBs / ST / recruiting ccoordinator), and Rod West (dimes). Five guys (Durden, Braithwaite, Ross, Bailey, and West) come from Chattanooga with Huesman, and Woods and Legg have been retained from the previous staff.

New York Jets: The Jets have announced that offensive coordinator Chan Gailey is retiring. Gailey is 64 years old and his coaching career began in 1974 and he's coached in the NFL with the Broncos, Steelers, Cowboys, Dolphins, Chiefs, Bills, and has been a college head coach at Troy State, Samford, and Georgia Tech.. The Jets have also announced that five assistants will not return in Ken Patullo (QBs), Marcel Shipp (RBs), Pepper Johnson (DL), Mark Collins (OLBs) and Joe Danna (DBs).

Elon (FCS - NC): Curt Cignetti has been named head coach of the Elon program. Cignetti spent the last six seasons as the head coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (D-II), where he went 53-17. Cignetti was a part of Nick Saban's 2009 national title team at Alabama, where he served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.

Bryant (FCS - RI): James Perry, the offensive coordinator at Princeton (FCS), has been announced as the program's new head coach.

Indiana: Sources tell FootballScoop Tennessee offensive coordinator Mike DeBord is leaving for Indiana. Sources tell us Debord will be the new offensive coordinator at Indiana.

Western Kentucky: Western Michigan director of football operations Nick Uhlenhopp will be the new assistant AD for football operations at WKU sources tell FootballScoop. Prior to spending four seasons at Iowa State (before coming to Western Michigan), Uhlenhopp had served as DFO at WKU for three seasons.

Buffalo Bills: Tim McManus of ESPN reports that the Bills have reached out to first-year Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich about their head coaching job, but no formal interview request paperwork has been submitted yet. As a player, Reich spent a decade as a quarterback for the Bills organization.

FIU: Former Elon (FCS - NC) head coach Rich Skrosky has formally been introduced as Butch Davis' offensive coordinator at FIU.

Buffalo: Sources tell FootballScoop that Luke Groth, the director of football operations and on-campus recruiting at South Dakota, has accepted the role of assistant athletic director for football operations on Lance Leipold's staff at Buffalo. More details on DFO Scoop.

Gavilan College (JC - CA): Gavilan College in Gilroy, CA is seeking applicants for an offensive skill position (preferrably WRs or RBs). Responsibilities include coaching your position group, recruiting, video breakdown, and other duties as assigned. This is a stipend-only position. Ohio State: Ed Warinner will remain on staff at Ohio State reports Ari Wasserman of Cleveland.com who adds that his role, however, remains unclear. We will update as more is clear.

PJ Fleck: Multiple reports yesterday suggested PJ Fleck could be headed to Minnesota. Sources tell FootballScoop there is nothing to this. Not happening.

Utica (D-III - NY): Utica College is looking to hire an offensive line coach & recruiting coordinator to assist the head coach with all facets of the football program. To apply, submit a cover letter, resume, and three professional references. Candidates for the position must include in their cover letter how you will advance our institutional values including serving a diverse community. All application materials must be submitted online via this link. Active consideration of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Moorpark College (JC - CA): Moorpark College is looking for offensive & defensive interns to work the 2017 football season. The intern positions will start in March 2017 and are unpaid, volunteer positions (with the exception of team meals, gear, and travel). Interns will assist with a position group on offense/defense, set up field, and drills. Interns will also have to input HUDL, create reports, and handle game day operations. Ohio State: Ohio State has announced Ryan Day as its new quarterbacks coach. He arrives from the NFL, where he spent two seasons under Chip Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles and this past season with the San Francisco 49ers.

Baltimore Ravens: John Harbaugh said Tuesday he will retain offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, defensive coordinator Dean Pees and special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg. Harbaugh did note there will be "a few" coaching changes.

San Francisco 49ers: ESPN analyst Louis Riddick will interview for the GM position next week, per Adam Schefter.

New York Jets: The Jets are making "wholesale changes" to their defensive coaching staff today reports Adam Schefter.

Ohio State: Former 49ers quarterbacks coach Ryan Day is expected to join the Ohio State staff as a coordinator and quarterbacks coach, per Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports....and now there is this report that Kevin Wilson will be the new offensive coordinator...we will update.

San Francisco 49ers: Chiefs executive Chris Ballard is pulling out of the Niners GM search, per Jason La Canfora.

Chip Kelly: Discussing his future with Fox Sports's Jay Glazer he's happy to be an assistant coach moving forward. "I'll go be an offensive coordinator somewhere," Kelly said, according to Glazer.

San Diego Chargers: The Chargers have requested permission to interview Chiefs special teams coach Dave Toub, per multiple reports."

"Successful seasons at 75% culture, and 25% scheme."

Western Kentucky: Georgia Southern defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey will assume the same role at Western Kentucky sources tell FootballScoop. Lindsey joined the Georgia Southern staff prior to the 2016 season after coaching the defensive line the prior four seasons at Furman.

Minnesota: Adam Rittenberg notes to "expect a resolution" today on the future of head coach Tracy Claeys. Clays led the Gophers to 9 wins this year, and publicly supported his players who threatened to boycott their bowl game and team activities following the suspension of ten players, before players ultimately backed down from boycotting.

Wake Forest: Sources tell FootballScoop Wake Forest special teams coordinator / tight ends coach Adam Scheier will not return. Scheier had served as Dave Clawson's special teams / tight ends since the 2009 season at Bowling Green.

Texas: Ohio State quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator Tim Beck is leaving to join Tom Herman's staff with the Longhorns, according to Chip Brown.

Eastern Michigan: Aaron Keen will be the new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, per source. Keen spent last season as EMU's special teams coordinator and tight ends coach, and prior to joining Chris Creighton's staff in 2014, served as the offensive coordinator at Minnesota State (D-II) and acting head coach for the program in 2012 and 2013, where he led the team to a 24-2 mark.

Avila (NAIA - MO): Avila University has an immediate opening for two student coaching positions (one offensive and one defensive). Primary responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all phases of the football program. Other responsibilities include coaching a position. Must be proficient in using Hudl Video Editor, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with film breakdown and data entry is a must. Partial scholarships available. This is an entry level position. College playing experience and/or previous coaching experience is preferred. Interviews will be held at AFCA convention.
