Western Michigan: Source tells FootballScoop Tim Lester is expected to hire Southern Illinois receivers coach Ashton Aikens. Aikens, who has coached receivers the past three seasons at SIU, previously coached at Northwestern (special teams QC) where he also played receiver.
Auburn: Texas A&M offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone isn't a candidate for the Auburn OC position reports Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle.
Bluffton (D-III – OH): Bluffton has an opening for offensive coordinator. Position includes but not limited to: Implementing offensive scheme, Practice and Game Planning, Managing the offensive coaches and players. San Diego Mesa (JC - CA): San Diego Mesa is seeking experienced assistant coaches for WR and DL for the upcoming 2017 season. Oregon: Raymond Woodie, Willie Taggart's defensive coordinator at South Florida, will now join Taggart at Oregon as special teams coordinator. Woodie has been with Taggart at both USF and Western Kentucky.
James Madison: Mike Houston has agreed to a new five year contract with JMU including an increase in both base pay and incentives.
Miami Dolphins: Former Rams linebackers coach Frank Bush has accepted the assistant head coach/linebackers job with the Fins, per Adam Schefter. They've also promoted special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi to associate head coach. Chris Kuper has been promoted to assistant offensive line coach.
Auburn: Texas A&M offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone "could be the leader" for the OC position at Auburn reports Travis Haney of 247 sports.
San Diego State: The Aztecs have announced a 5-year contract extension for head coach Rocky Long. Long, 66, is 54-26 in six seasons at the school and 22-6 with back-to-back Mountain West titles over the past two seasons.
Notre Dame: Notre Dame has formally introduced Del Alexander as wide receivers coach.
Adrian College (MI): Grand Valley State grad assistant Michael Pannone has joined the Adrian staff coaching the defensive line.

Scoop Him Up: A passionate, energetic, and detail oriented coach with multiple levels of experience, Jesse Norris is looking to return to the college level. After graduating from Hillsdale College, he has spent time at Culver-Stockton College as wide receiver coach, special teams coordinator, video coordinator, and equipment manager, as well as defensive back coach. Following that, Norris spent time at Lima Shawnee High School as assistant football coach and head track coach. Most recently he served as the head football coach at Plantation High School, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Denver Broncos: Kansas City Chiefs assistant special teams coordinator Brock Olivo has agreed to become the new special teams coordinator for the Broncos reports Mike Klis. Also, Alex Marvez adds that Johnnie Lynn will join the staff as assistant defensive backs coach (with Samson Brown leaving that role to join the Rams staff).
FAU: Lane Kiffin "has held conversations with" FIU assistant Tim Harris Jr. about joining the FAU staff reports FAUOwlAccess. Harris Jr., who has coached running backs the past two seasons at FIU, is the son of Tim "Ice" Harris, longtime south Florida coach. Will update when more is clear about Harris Jr.'s decision.
Western Michigan: Cory Sanders, the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at West Florida (D-II), has accepted the defensive backs job at Western Michigan, sources tell FootballScoop. Sanders previously served as the head coach at St. Joseph's College (D-II - IN) and previously worked with WMU head coach Tim Lester previously at Elmhurst (D-III - IL).

Beloit (D-III - WI): Kevin Canty has joined the staff and will serve as offensive line coach / run game coordinator, per sources. Canty was most recently the offensive coordinator at Jordan HS (Durham, NC), and prior to that served as the offensive line coach at Brevard College (D-II - NC).
Washington Redskins: Former 49ers outside linebackers coach Jason Tarver is interviewing for the defensive coordinator job today, per Adam Caplan and former Jets defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman is expected to interview for the job as well according to Josh Reed.
Tennessee: According to 247, Utah State associate head coach / running backs coach Mike Canales will "imminently" be named quarterbacks coach on Butch Jones' staff. Canales previously served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at North Texas, South Florida, and Arizona among other stops in his coaching career. 247 adds that the contracts of defensive line coach Steve Stripling and offensive line coach Don Mahoney both expire at the end of next month.

New Research: 11/12 Personnel Overload Structures to Stress Defenses - Making one or two checks to unbalanced looks can be stressful enough for defensive coordinators, but presenting up to nine formations in one contest is sure to get some alignment issues. Riggs High School (SD) head coach Steve Steele presents the nine overload formations from his 11 and 12 personnel groupings that he uses on a weekly basis, including specific alignments and the run and pass concepts he uses to exploit how defenses will adjust to them. Whittier (D-III - CA): Whittier College, a Division III program in Los Angeles, CA is seeking applicants for a restricted earnings coaching position (WRs coach). Qualifications: Bachelors degree required with successful football playing and/or coaching experience, strong professional/interpersonal communication skills and organizational efficiency, outstanding character and leadership qualities a must. This is a 12 month full time position that will pay $10,000 per year, and limited meals. Oklahoma Panhandle State (D-II): OPSU is currently seeking an offensive assistant working with the QBs or RBs.
